Buyer Beware- A cautionary tale for buying an investment property

Over the past weekend, I had an opportunity to show a past client investment properties in the Quincy area.  I was shocked at some of the things that I noticed at the properties that my client did not.  In speaking with the listing agent, none of the warning signs I saw were being disclosed.  I had a long conversation with my client at the end of our tour about the red flags that I saw in the property. I advised her not to move forward with the deal, as the risk greatly outweighed the reward.

This got me to thinking about the fact that it is so important to have a really good agent by your side to represent you and advocate for you. What you DON’T see is as important as what you do see. An expert advisor who is experienced in investment properties, our local market and has your financial and best interests in mind is key.
